STEM Building Challenge

About this event

Visit the Idea Lab and build something with us! For this STEM challenge, you'll create a bridge using an assortment of fun building materials: paper, string, tape, toothpicks, straws, marshmallows, and more. We'll provide each participant or team with bag of materials that they can use. If your structure can support a small weight for a full minute, you'll win a mystery prize! Regardless of whether your bridge succeeds, all participants will receive an award in the form of a custom button to commemorate something their structure was "best" at. Ages 12 and up. Free. Registration is required for this event. If you would like to participate a s a group or family, please register under one person's name and add up to 3 guests. The event will take place in the Idea Lab. Children under 15 must be supervised by a guardian. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this project, please bring a support person to help you with this class.
