About this event
cataract will be opening for Rochester band Blue Envy on the Erie stop of their tour. This will be the first performance for cataract as a four piece band. “cataract" is a two-piece comprised of Ben on drums and Jake on guitar and vocals, and more recently joined live by their friend Porter on bass and lead guitar. Their lyrics hover around melancholic themes and their sound is characterized by fuzzy guitar and crushing drums. Jake and Ben have played together for over a decade across a few different projects. More recently they began to share their music both in recordings and for audiences of more than just close friends.
