The Gannon Athletic Training Program wants to teach 90 people CPR in 90 minutes! Who: YOU! What: Learn basic CPR skills When: Friday, September 25, 2026. 9:45 – 11:15 AM Where: AJ Way Why: • Globally, cardiac arrest claims more lives than colorectal cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, influenza, pneumonia, auto accidents, HIV, firearms, & house fires combined. • Over 350,000 cardiac arrests occur each year outside of hospitals in the US. • Currently, only about 10% of these individuals survive. • Immediate CPR could increase the survival rate to almost 60%! - American Heart Association This is not a CPR certification class. Instructors will only be teaching: • How to quickly identify cardiac arrest & the need for CPR • Basic steps to perform CPR • Why CPR works • Total time commitment 5-10 minutes • On your way from class or before you head to lunch (no excuses)! • Participants will have the opportunity to register for a full CPR Certification course!
