A Season of Creation prayer vigil will be held outside the Shale Insight Convention at the Bayfront Convention Center. A Season of Creation prayer vigil will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm outside the Shale Insight Convention at the Bayfront Convention Center. Season of Creation is an annual time (September 1 - October 4) for Christians to come together in prayer and action for Creation. The theme for 2026, Living Water and Erie’s prayer will focus on the harm done by the data center driven increase in fracking of natural gas. The Shale Insight Convention strategizes and lobbies to increase fossil fuel extraction which worsens the climate crisis. The prayer service is open to the public.
